This article explains how the freeze-frame button works. After Effects requires a lot of resources and to speed up the editing process we solo the layers. However, sometimes you need to see other objects in the scene. That’s where you would use the freeze-frame button. It temporarily freezes the selected layers while you continue editing and don’t overload an After Effects. Press the button again to remove the freeze.
1. Select a layer or multiple layers
2. Press the freeze-frame button
