How to use after effects

Here is how to create a new composition and import files in Adobe After Effects:

  1. Click on the New Composition button in the right column of the Welcome screen, or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + N on Win or CMD + N on Mac. In the Composition Settings window that appears, select UHD 8K 23.976 under the Preset drop-down menu and set the Duration to the desired length for your composition.

  2.  Save your composition by clicking on File > Save (CTRL + S on Win or CMD + S on Mac). Type in a name for your composition in the Save As window and choose a location to save the file.
  3. To import files, go to File>Import>File… or double-click on the Project tab. Select the desired files and click Open. You can also import files by dragging them directly into the Project tab or by using CTRL + I on Win or CMD + I on Mac.

To build a composition with layers in Adobe After Effects:

  1. Add files to your composition by dragging and dropping them from the Project tab into the Timeline, Composition, or Layer tab.

  2. Organize and edit the layers by dragging them up or down the list in the Layer tab and using the Transform menu to adjust properties such as the anchor point, position, scale, rotation, and opacity.
  3. Generate a timeline by using the Timeline controls. Trim, extend, or group layers as needed.
  4. Add effects to layers by selecting the layer and going to the Effect tab in the top menu. Choose from a variety of options, such as color correction or compositing tools. You can adjust the effect settings in the Effects Controls window.
  5. Preview your composition by using the space bar or the Play button in the Preview window.
  6. When you are satisfied with your composition, you can render it by going to Composition>Add to Render Queue or using the shortcut Ctrl + M on Win or CMD + Ctrl + M on Mac. Choose the desired output format and settings, then click Render.
