Chromatic Aberration adds the kind of color separation that makes an image feel charged, imperfect, and alive. For After Effects, Premiere Pro, and OFX-compatible hosts, it splits and offsets the image into prismatic edges, from subtle lens fringing to bold RGB displacement.
It is useful when footage feels too clean and needs a little optical pressure. Add it to transitions, impacts, handheld shots, sports edits, sci-fi UI moments, concert footage, or glitch sequences to give motion a sharper visual pulse without rebuilding the whole grade.
